It proved to be an epic battle. BEST PLAYOFF SERIES The top two teams in the Western Conference Finals..
This time, the Mavericks won in overtime. In all, two of the seven games went into overtime with three others being decided by one or two points. It was classic series and should have been the Western Conference last year the Spurs and Mavericks were forced to play each other in the second round of the playoffs.
The Mavericks won three straight games to take 31 lead, but Tim Duncan and the Spurs won two in row to even the series and send it back to San Antonio.
